Polar Jade was discovered by Kirk Makepeace in 1994. There's nothing else like good Polar Jade.  It was once written by Fred Ward in Lapidary Journal that Polar Jade is "the newest, brightest, most translucent, greenest, hardest nephrite yet discovered.".
